History
A post office operated at Lomo from 1878 to 1881.[1] It was previously known as Wakefields Station,[1] for Henry Wakefield, who established a homestead on the site in 1864 and provided accommodations for teams and stages on the Humboldt Wagon Road.[2]
Lomo once had a lumber mill,[3] a school, and a hotel.[4] The hotel burned down in 1882 and again in 1885.Script error: No such module "Footnotes".Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters".
