WWE is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Stamford, Connecticut, and the world's largest promotion. As with other professional wrestling promotions, WWE promotes several championships, with titleholders typically determined via the results of professional wrestling matches within scripted storylines. On rare occasions, a championship may be awarded to or stripped from a wrestler outside of a match, though these occurrences typically also fall within scripted storylines.Template:Efn
WWE currently divides its roster between four brands, and there is also a non-exclusive developmental program. Most wrestlers perform exclusively on a single brand (with select exemptions). WWE's two primary brands are Raw and SmackDown, collectively referred to as the main roster. NXT serves as the primary developmental brand (although it was considered a third main brand from 2019 to 2021),[1] with Evolve geared towards WWE Performance Center trainees, while WWE ID is to support wrestlers on the independent circuit.
There are currently 21 championships in WWE divided across Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Evolve, with two upcoming ones for WWE ID. Raw and SmackDown each have a primary, secondary, and tag team championship for male wrestlers and a primary and secondary championship for female wrestlers. NXT features a primary, secondary, specialty, and tag team championship for male wrestlers, with a primary and secondary championship for female wrestlers. There are three titles that are shared between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT—an internet championship for the respective men's and women's divisions and a tag team championship for the women. Evolve and WWE ID each feature one championship for their respective men's and women's divisions, with inaugural champions for both WWE ID titles to be determined.
As of April 30, 2026, among the four current brands, 24 wrestlers officially hold championships (including one double champion). This list includes the number of times the wrestler has held the title, the date and location of the win, and a description of the match victory.
Overview
The American professional wrestling promotion WWE currently divides its roster into what the company refers to as brands. The two main brands that the company promotes are Raw and SmackDown, collectively referred to as the main roster. Wrestlers assigned to the two main brands exclusively perform on the respective weekly television programs, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, albeit with some exceptions. The Raw brand also has a supplementary online streaming program called Main Event. Monthly pay-per-view and livestreaming events, as well as the non-televised WWE Live shows, feature wrestlers from both brands.
WWE has two developmental brands. The primary developmental brand is NXT, which is where most WWE wrestlers perform prior to being promoted to the main roster.Template:Efn Wrestlers assigned to NXT appear on the brand's eponymous weekly television program and major livestreaming events that are held periodically throughout the year. Evolve is a newer developmental brand, which features mostly newer wrestlers that are still in training at the WWE Performance Center. These wrestlers appear on the weekly Evolve program. Furthermore, there is WWE Independent Development (ID), a developmental program to support wrestlers on the independent circuit and provide a pathway to potentially joining WWE. These wrestlers may also appear on Evolve.
There is also a weekly online program called Speed that streams exclusively on X and features wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
Main roster
For the men's division, both Raw and SmackDown feature a primary, secondary, and tag team championship, while for the women's division, each brand has a primary and secondary championship. There is also a women's tag team championship shared between both brands as well as NXT.
The online program Speed exclusively has its own set of championships, one each for the men's and women's divisions, and these titles are available to wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown, as well as NXT.
Men
At the top of WWE's championship hierarchy for male wrestlers are the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw and the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown—regarded as world heavyweight championships. The World Heavyweight Championship is held by record two-time champion Gunther. He defeated Jey Uso on Raw on June 9, 2025.[2] The Undisputed WWE Championship is held by John Cena, who is in his record 14th reign. He won the title by defeating Cody Rhodes on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 on April 20, 2025.[3]
Secondary titles for male wrestlers include the Intercontinental Championship on Raw and the United States Championship on SmackDown. The Intercontinental Championship is held by first-time champion Dominik Mysterio. He defeated previous champion Bron Breakker, Penta, and Finn Bálor, who he pinned, in a fatal four-way match on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 on April 20, 2025.[4] The United States Championship is held by first-time champion Solo Sikoa, who defeated Jacob Fatu at Night of Champions on June 28, 2025.[5]
Tag team titles for male wrestlers include the World Tag Team Championship on Raw and the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown—regarded as world tag team championships. The World Tag Team Championship is held by The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh), who are in their second reign as a team, while individually, it is Bálor's fourth reign and McDonagh's second reign, and it is the overall fourth reign for The Judgment Day stable. They defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) on Raw on June 30, 2025.[6] The WWE Tag Team Championship is held by two-time champions The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). They defeated #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) on SmackDown on March 14, 2025.[7]
Women
At the top of WWE's championship hierarchy for female wrestlers are the Women's World Championship on Raw and the WWE Women's Championship on SmackDown—regarded as women's world championships. The Women's World Championship is held by first-time champion Iyo Sky, who won the title by defeating Rhea Ripley on Raw on March 3, 2025.[8] The WWE Women's Championship is held by first-time champion Tiffany Stratton, who defeated Nia Jax in her Money in the Bank cash-in match on SmackDown on January 3, 2025.[9]
The secondary titles for female wrestlers are the Women's Intercontinental Championship on Raw and the Women's United States Championship on SmackDown. The Women's Intercontinental Championship is held by first-time champion Becky Lynch. She defeated Lyra Valkyria in a Last Chance match at Money in the Bank on June 7, 2025. Had Lynch lost, she would have never been able to challenge for the title again for as long as Valkyria was champion, but since she won, Valkyria had to raise Lynch's hand and acknowledge her as the better woman.[10] The Women's United States Championship is held by first-time champion Giulia. She defeated Zelina Vega on SmackDown on June 27, 2025.[11]
The tag team title for female wrestlers is the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, which is shared between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. It is held by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez from Raw, who are in their first reign as a team, while individually, it is Perez's first reign and the record sixth reign for Rodriguez. Originally, Rodriguez and Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria on Raw on April 21, 2025. However, due to a legitimate injury incurred by Morgan, Perez replaced her on the June 30, 2025, episode of Raw; WWE considers this a separate reign for Rodriguez.[12]
Speed
The men's and women's titles on Speed, regarded as internet championships, have a stipulation where matches have a five-minute time limit.
The men's title is the WWE Speed Championship. It is held by first-time champion El Grande Americano from Raw, who defeated Dragon Lee, also from Raw, during the Speed tapings on May 5, 2025,[13] which aired on tape delay on May 7.[14]
The women's title is the WWE Women's Speed Championship. It is held by first-time champion Sol Ruca from NXT, who defeated SmackDown's Candice LeRae during the Speed tapings on April 11, 2025,[15] which aired on tape delay on April 16.[16]
Developmental
For the men's division, NXT features a primary championship, a secondary championship, a specialty championship, and a tag team championship. There is also an internet championship shared with Raw and SmackDown (listed above).
The women's division for NXT has a primary championship and a secondary championship. There is also an internet championship and a tag team championship, each shared with Raw and SmackDown (both listed above).
Evolve and WWE ID feature only one championship each for the respective men's and women's divisions.
NXT
Men
The top title for male wrestlers is the NXT Championship. It is held by first-time champion Oba Femi, who defeated Trick Williams in a triple threat match also involving Eddy Thorpe at NXT: New Year's Evil on January 7, 2025.[17]
The secondary title for male wrestlers is the NXT North American Championship. It is held by first-time champion Ethan Page, who defeated Ricky Saints on NXT on May 27, 2025. [18]
The specialty championship for men is the NXT Heritage Cup, where all matches are contested under British Rounds Rules. The title is held by first-time champion Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, who defeated Tony D'Angelo by 2–1 to win the vacant title on NXT on June 24, 2025; previous champion Noam Dar relinquished the title due to injury.[19]
The men's tag team title is the NXT Tag Team Championship. It is held by Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger), who are in their first reign, both as a team and individually. They won the title by defeating Nathan Frazer and Axiom at Stand & Deliver on April 19, 2025.[20]
Women
The top title for female wrestlers is the NXT Women's Championship. It is held by first-time champion Jacy Jayne, who defeated Stephanie Vaquer on NXT on May 27, 2025.[21]
The secondary women's title is the NXT Women's North American Championship. It is held by first-time champion Sol Ruca, who defeated Izzi Dame, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, Thea Hail, and Zaria in a six-woman ladder match to win the vacant championship at Stand & Deliver on April 19, 2025; previous champion Stephanie Vaquer relinquished the title due to also holding the NXT Women's Championship.[22]
Evolve
The men's title is the WWE Evolve Championship. It is held by Jackson Drake, who defeated Keanu Carver, Edris Enofe, and Sean Legacy, who Drake last eliminated, in a fatal four-way elimination match to become the inaugural champion during the Evolve tapings on April 25, 2025, which aired on tape delay on June 4, 2025.[23]
The women's title is the WWE Evolve Women's Championship. It is held by Kali Armstrong, who defeated Wendy Choo, Kendal Grey, and Kylie Rae, who Armstrong last eliminated, in a fatal four-way elimination match to become the inaugural champion during the Evolve tapings on April 25, 2025, which aired on tape delay on May 28, 2025.[24]
WWE ID
WWE ID will also feature its own championships for the men and women—the WWE ID Championship and WWE Women's ID Championship—but unlike WWE's other titles, these will be defended across partner independent promotions.[25] First round tournament matches were held by Game Changer Wrestling and Future Stars of Wrestling on April 16 and April 18, respectively, during WrestleMania 41 week.[26] After the crowning of the inaugural champions, all independent wrestlers will be eligible to challenge for the ID Championships and if a non-WWE ID wrestler were to win a title, they will receive a WWE ID contract.[27]
Current champions
Note: Tables with a "Days rec." column means that WWE officially recognizes a different number of days that a wrestler has held a title, generally due to an event airing on tape delay.
