Latham is a village in Logan County, Illinois, United States. The population was 380 at the 2010 census.[1]
History
Latham was platted in 1871 and named in honor of Robert B. Latham, a railroad official.[2] A post office called Latham has been in operation since 1872.[3]
Geography
Latham is located in southeastern Logan County. There were 157 households, out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.3% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.8% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.88.
