Gopher Flats is a census-designated place (CDP)[1] in Umatilla County, Oregon, United States. The population was 401 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Pendleton–Hermiston Micropolitan Statistical Area.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 401 people, 157 households, and 108 families residing in the CDP. The population density was Script error: No such module "convert".. The racial makeup of the CDP was 73.57% White, 0.50% African American, 23.19% Native American, 0.50% Asian, 0.25% Pacific Islander, and 2.00% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.25% of the population.
There were 157 households, out of which 31.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.7% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% were non-families. 20.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 2.87.
In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 24.7% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 24.4% from 25 to 44, 30.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
