Gibsonia is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Polk County, Florida, United States.2402523-1|[1] The population was 4,507 at the 2000 census . Most of the community's core is now part of neighboring Lakeland.2402523-1|[1] It is part of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 4,507 people, 1,747 households, and 1,271 families residing in the CDP. The population density was Script error: No such module "convert".. The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.99% White, 2.66% African American, 0.36% Native American, 0.75% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 1.35% from other races, and 1.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.59% of the population.
There were 1,747 households, out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.2% were non-families. 22.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 2.99.
