Template:Use mdy dates Garden Valley is an unincorporated census-designated place in Boise County, Idaho, United States.[1] As of the 2020 census, its population was 377,[2] a decrease of the 394 count on the 2010 census.[3] The mountain setting and recreation opportunities attract visitors from the Boise area. Life there during the pioneer days was quite harsh and economic opportunity was based on logging, mining, and ranching. History
During the mid-1800s, the area became a hub for miners and homesteaders.[4] Garden Valley's population was 25 in 1909,[5] and was 10 in 1960.[6]
