2. It is historically notable as one of the first published pieces by the article subject, who went on to become one of the medium's most important and influential figures, with a six-decade career
3. Comic books are a primarily visual medium, and an article on a comic-book artist cannot adequately describe the topic without visual illustration.
4. The use of the cover will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the book.
5. It is uncertain that the image published by this long-defunct concern is copyrighted. Even if so, the image is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
