Summary
A microwave relay antenna, which transmits data such as long-distance telephone calls and data between cities on beams of microwaves. The pairs of parabolic antennas are pointed at another relay station in line-of-sight range, within 30-40 miles, which passes the data on. The two separated antennas used for each link may be for space diversity; to prevent fading of the signal due to transmission difficulties in one transmission path; if the signal received by one dish is weak it may be strong at the other dish.
