Pablo Picasso completed Les Demoiselles d'Avignon in 1907. Les Demoiselles d'Avignon appeared in the May 1910 edition of the Architectural Record, a US publication [1]. Although it was labeled a "study", numerous sources confirm that the painting itself was reproduced therein (please see File talk:Les Demoiselles d'Avignon.jpg#2008 renewal of discussion). It wasn't published in France until 1925, when it appeared in La Révolution surréaliste [2]. |
