Phi Beta Sigma is a historically African American fraternity that was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1914.[1] The fraternity's membership includes four African presidents; two governors; three congressmen; the first black Rhodes Scholar; numerous NFL football, NBA basketball, and MLB baseball players; ten college and university presidents; and sixteen Olympians. Various buildings and schools have been named after Sigma men such as George Washington Carver, James Weldon Johnson, and Robert Russa Moton.

The following list of Phi Beta Sigma members includes initiated and honorary members. A chapter name ending in "Sigma" denotes a graduate chapter.
