Fairview Township is a township in Lyon County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 485 at the 2000 census.

History

Fairview Township was organized in 1873, and named for the scenic landscapes of the township.

As of the census of 2000, there were 485 people, 159 households, and 131 families residing in the township. The population density was . There were 162 housing units at an average density of . The racial makeup of the township was 99.59% White and 0.41% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.41% of the population.

There were 159 households, out of which 48.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.4% were married couples living together, 2.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.6% were non-families. 15.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
