Experiment is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Spalding County, Georgia, United States. The population was 3,328 in 2020.
History
Experiment is named for the University of Georgia Agricultural Experiment Station located there.[1] Experiment has been noted for its unusual place name.[2]
The community was heavily damaged by an EF3 tornado on January 12, 2023. The tornado injured 18 people along its path.[3]
Geography
Experiment is located at Script error: No such module "Coordinates". (33.274505, -84.274758),[4] immediately north of Griffin and approximately 30 miles (48.3 km) south-southeast of Atlanta.

Experiment was first listed as an unincorporated place in the 1950 U.S. census[11] and then designated a census designated place in 1980 U.S. census.[14]
