Ellisville is a village in Fulton County, Illinois, United States. The population was 87 at the 2020 census.[1]

History

Ellisville is named for its founder, Levi D. Ellis.[2]

Geography

Ellisville is located in northwestern Fulton County on the west side of the Spoon River, a south-flowing tributary of the Illinois River. Ellisville is Script error: No such module "convert". northwest of Canton and Script error: No such module "convert". northeast of Bushnell.

The racial makeup of the village was 98.85% White, 0.00% African American, 1.15% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.00% of the population.

There were 40 households, out of which 7.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.00% were married couples living together, 27.50% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.50% were non-families. 22.50% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.00% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 2.40.
