Since there is an article on Southern American English, shouldn't there also be articles on Northern American English, Western American English, and Eastern American English? Gringo300 15:12, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Likely (or, more precisely, we may need additional articles on named sub-dialects of American English, which will not actually correspond to the terms you proposed, since this isn't about arbitrary compass directions).
