Geography
Bynum is located in eastern Hill County in Central Texas. Texas State Highway 171 runs through the east side of the town, leading northwest Script error: No such module "convert". to Hillsboro, the county seat, and southeast Script error: No such module "convert". to Malone.

The community of Bynum is served by the Bynum Independent School District and is home to the Bynum High School Bulldogs.
