History
Awazu Station was opened on March 1, 1913 as Script error: No such module "Nihongo".. It was relocated to its present location and renamed to its present name on January 17, 1914.

In fiscal 2018, the station was used by an average of 671 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[1]
