Almanor (formerly, Plumas Pines)[1] is a census-designated place (CDP) in Plumas County, California, United States.[2] The population was 0 at the 2010 Census, but as of 2020, the population was reported as 3.[3] Almanor is located Script error: No such module "convert". south-southeast of Chester.[1]

History

The name comes from three daughters of Guy C. Earl, president of the Great Western Power Co.: "Alice", "Martha", and "Elinor".[1] The Almanor post office opened in 1926.[1]

Geography

Almanor is located at Script error: No such module "Coordinates". (40.216857, -121.177325),[4] on the south-west shoreline of Lake Almanor.
