Josiah Article
Hi. I have a couple of comments about your addition to the Josiah article.
1) I would dispute the assertion that "most" recent critical scholarship has seen the account of the finding of the book of the law as a legend rather than a contemporary account. Some of the biggest names in American historical-critical scholarship (Halpern, Friedman, Cross, etc.) see it as Josianic with exilic editing. In fact a Josianic Deuteronomy is something of an axiom in American critical schools. I understand that there is a big divide between current American and European trends in higher criticism; the article should reflect this. As it stands it seems to give more credence to the European schools if only because it gives their views the last word.
2) Your edits would be a bit confusing to the uninitiated as you refer to the scroll discovered by Hilkiah as "an early version of the torah." By this I assume you mean Deuteronomy but as it stands it seems to suggest the entire Pentateuch; this should be clarified.
