This is an equation from an assignment I did this (er, last?) semester:

$\begin{array}{ccc}{V}_{R_1}& =& I_T\cdot (Z_L\Vert R_1)\\ & =& \frac{V_T}{R_T}\cdot \frac{Z_L{R}_1}{Z_L+R_1}\\ \left|\frac{V_{R_1}}{V_T}\right|& =& \left|\frac{Z_L{R}_1}{R_T(Z_L+R_1)}\right|\\ \frac{P_1}{P_T}& =& {\left(\frac{V_{R_1}}{V_T}\right)}^2=\frac{{\omega }^2{L}^2}{64+{\omega }^2{L}^2}\end{array}$

I had to put it in a \begin{matrix}...\end{matrix} and it doesn't look exact, but it works.
