Script error: No such module "Banner shell". "Note: A lobe is characterized by a localized maximum bounded by identifiable nulls."

This could use further elucidation. Could an expert please describe the terms "localized maximum" and "nulls" in some detail? One can certainly guess the meaning, but a quick paragraph about what these mean in practice would be helpful. --Rethunk

Shouldn't it be mentioned that often a lobule is a subdivision of a biger lobe (as opposed to the intependent small lobe) --Yarikoptic 19:44, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
