A military installation infobox may be used to summarize information about a military structure or facility, such as a fortification or military base.

The infobox should be added using the Template:Tl template, as shown below:

Parameters

Note: When using parameters, avoid the ambiguous abbreviation "N/A", and instead use "unknown" or "none". If a parameter is not applicable, leave it blank and it will not be displayed. All subjective or qualitative judgements and numerical quantities or statistics must be cited to a reliable source (see WP:MILMOS#CITE).

  • name – the name of the installation or structure.
  • ensignoptional – a small ensign image used by the installation.
  • ensign_sizeoptional – size for ensign image.
  • native_nameoptional – the name of the installation in the language(s) of the country which built it, or in which it is located.
  • partofoptional – the larger complex the given installation is part of, if any. For proper grammar, it may be necessary to insert "the" before the name used here.
  • location – the geographical location of the installation.
  • imageoptional – an image of the installation. The image should be given in the form Example.jpg; other values can be inserted in the following parameters.
  • image_sizeoptional – width of the image in pixels (px), e.g., "150"; defaults to "220".
  • altoptional – alt text for the image; see Wikipedia:Alternative text for images.
  • captionoptional – the text to be placed below the image.
