  • curprev 18:2018:20, 20 April 2025 75.100.4.32 talk 6,910 bytes +6,910 Timocracy, comparable values, and Plato's five regimes: removed content suggesting that those “of an inferior nature” have souls of bronze or iron. this resulted from a misunderstanding of The Republic: Plato/Socrates does not suggest that these people actually have iron or bronze in their souls, merely that a “noble lie” to this effect should be perpetuated in order to legitimize and justify the regime of the city.
