  • curprev 21:3221:32, 27 December 2024 imported>Leptictidium 12,673 bytes +12,673 Byzantine service: I've checked the source and, while Gautier criticises the many spelling, grammatical and syntactic errors in the Greek version of the typikon, he certainly doesn't say that Pakourianos didn't speak the language at all. Furthermore, the Oxford Encyclopedia of Medieval Warfare and Military Technology states that "Gregory Pakourianos (Bakurian) practiced Chalcedonian Christianity and spoke Georgian, Armenian, and Greek."
