  • curprev 19:1819:18, 27 May 2025 imported>Mucketymuck 25,212 bytes +25,212 Contents of the crown group: Clarification; presumably, the “other extinct bird groups” have been extinct since long before the Neolithic period, Archaeopteryx itself being Mesozoic. “Recent” can be taken to mean geologically recent, or of our Holocene epoch, but indeed most extinctions of the kind presumably indicated here (e.g., those of the moa, the dodo, the great auk, and the passenger pigeon) have occurred in the common era.
