Welcome to the '''WikiProject Mali'''! This group was formed to better organize articles on [[Mali]] in a spirit of cooperation.

==Scope==
This group includes within its scope all articles related to Mali, its cities, geography, transportation, culture, history and so on. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Mali in a fair and accurate manner. All of these articles should be contained within the [[:Category:Mali]] or one of its subcategories.

==Open tasks==
* Work on articles relating to Mali [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa#Needing work|Tagged as needing work in the WikiProject Africa]] . Tag articles with <nowiki>{{WikiProject Africa| class= |Mali=yes}}</nowiki> and an assessment.
* Assess the [[:Category:Unassessed Mali articles|Unassessed Mali articles]] as Stub, Start, B-Class, etc. More on assessment [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Assessment|here]].
* Tag all Mali-relevant articles with <nowiki>{{WikiProject Africa | class= |Mali=yes}}</nowiki> and an assessment.
* Add your name to the WikiProject Mali members list (below), and to the members list of our parent [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa]].
* Invite more users to join. [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Inviting members|WikiProject Africa]] with knowledge of or interest in Mali.
* Create all yet-uncreated project pages (those in red). Sort through [[Wikipedia:List of_missing_Africa topics|Wikipedia:List of missing Africa topics]] for Mali related requests.
* Create Mali subcategories and populate the created categories. Remove items from [[:Category:Mali]] that ought to be in subcategories.
* Look for open source photographs that can be uploaded to the Commons for articles in [[:Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Mali]].
* Create basic Mali topic articles: see [[User:TUF-KAT/Topics by country]] for a list of links for every nation/every basic topic.
