Marriott&amp;#039;s most noted role was as Gavin Featherly in the BBC [[leisure centre]] sitcom &amp;#039;&amp;#039;The Brittas Empire&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. It ran for 52 episodes in over six years on [[BBC1]], from 3 January 1991 to 24 February 1997.{{citation needed|date=April 2022}}&lt;br /&gt;

He later wrote for the stage.
