'''Siribala''' is a town and [[Communes of Mali|rural commune]] in the [[Niono Cercle|Cercle of Niona]] in the [[Ségou Region]] of southern-central [[Mali]]. The commune has an area of approximately 445 square kilometers and includes the town and 18 villages,<ref>{{citation | title=Communes de la Région de Ségou | publisher=Ministère de l’administration territoriale et des collectivités locales, République du Mali | url=http://www.matcl.gov.ml/pdf/ComRegSegou.pdf | language=French | url-status=dead | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120309074207/http://www.matcl.gov.ml/pdf/ComRegSegou.pdf | archivedate=2012-03-09 }}.</ref> and in the 2009 census, it had a population of 37,065.<ref name=pop2009/> The town lies 25 km south of [[Niono]] on the east side of the Fala de Molodo channel that forms part of the [[Office du Niger]] irrigation scheme. The present town, actually Siribala Coura (New Siribala), was established in the 1970s to accommodate agricultural workers employed on the [[sugarcane|sugar-cane]] plantation and the associated [[cane sugar mill|mill]].
