Restless Development was founded as Students Partnership Worldwide in 1985 by [https://www.thetimes.com/travel/destinations/africa-travel/south-africa/cape-town/jim-cogan-svl3tnzsrf5 Jim Cogan], the Deputy Head of [[Westminster School]].&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;{{Cite web |last=Coles |first=Alf |date=2007-12-07 |title=Obituary: Jim Cogan |url=https://www.theguardian.com/news/2007/dec/07/obituaries.guardianobituaries |access-date=2021-09-22 |website=the Guardian |language=en}}&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; It was originally a [[gap year]] programme for school leavers from Westminster School to work as teachers in [[India]] or [[Zimbabwe]]. Former volunteers include British filmmaker [[Louis Theroux]] and Jamie Drummond, co-founder of [[One Campaign]].&lt;br /&gt;
