The mast is located in the city of [[Guaíba]], in the metropolitan area of [[Porto Alegre]], state of [[Rio Grande do Sul]], at {{coord|30|05|34.01|S|51|18|31.78|W|type:landmark|name=Radio Gaúcha AM Guaíba Mast}}. It is a 230-metre (755&amp;amp;nbsp;ft.) tall, ground-insulated [[guyed mast]] [[mast radiator|radiator]]. The Radio Gaúcha AM Guaíba Mast was built in 1985/1986 to improve the transmissions of [[Association football|football]] matches.&lt;br /&gt;
