The '''Nikanassin Range''' is a group of [[mountain range]]s in the [[Canadian Rockies]] on the eastern edge of [[Jasper National Park]] in [[Alberta]], [[Canada]]. It is developed south-east of the [[Fiddle Range]], and one of the front ranges. ''Nikanassin'' means "first range" in [[Cree Language|Cree]].

The range has an extent of {{convert|2760|km2|sqmi}},<ref name=peakbagger>{{Cite peakbagger|rid=14123|title=Nikanassin Range|access-date=2009-02-05}}</ref> with a length of {{convert|80|km|mi}} from north-west to south-east, and a width of {{convert|66|km|mi}}. Its highest point is [[Blackface Mountain]], with a height of {{convert|2867|m|ft}}.<ref name=otm_bm/>

Numerous seams of [[coal]] are found in this range, with past and present mines at [[Cadomin, Alberta|Cadomin]], [[Mountain Park, Alberta|Mountain Park]] and [[Luscar, Alberta|Luscar]].<ref name=bivouac>{{Cite web|url=http://www.bivouac.com/ArxPg.asp?ArxId=1032|title=Nikanassin Range|website=bivouac.com|access-date=2009-02-05}}</ref>

The range gives the name to the [[Nikanassin Formation]], a [[stratigraphy|stratigraphical]] unit of late [[Jurassic]] age that has its stratotype in this region.
