&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Lessing Field&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a multi-purpose and [[soccer-specific stadium]] on the campus of [[Fairfield University]] in [[Fairfield, Connecticut]]. It is home to the [[Fairfield Stags]] men&amp;#039;s and women&amp;#039;s soccer teams. Lessing Field has played host to numerous conference championships, including the 2004 MAAC Women&amp;#039;s Soccer Championship, 2005 MAAC Women&amp;#039;s Lacrosse Championship, 2006 MAAC Men&amp;#039;s Soccer Championship, and both the 2007 MAAC Men&amp;#039;s and Women&amp;#039;s Soccer Championships. *&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;The Goal:&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;  On April 16, 2005, playing before 1,376 fans at Lessing Field, the No. 20 [[Fairfield Stags men&amp;#039;s lacrosse]] team was knotted at 11 goals apiece with eight seconds left in a game against the No. 11 [[Notre Dame Fighting Irish]]. *On November 5, 2006, in front of a national audience on [[ESPNU]] the [[Fairfield Stags men&amp;#039;s soccer]] team won the 2006 [[Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference|MAAC]] Soccer Championship and earned a berth to the [[2006 Division I Men&amp;#039;s College Cup|2006 NCAA Men&amp;#039;s Soccer Championship]] with a 1–0 victory over St. Peter&amp;#039;s College. The lone goal came during the 69th minute when Tom Clements &amp;#039;08 sent a free kick to the left corner where Alex Cunliffe &amp;#039;07 found room inside the box.  Drawing a double-team about 25 yards from the near post, Cunliffe sent a cross to the feet of Mike Troy &amp;#039;07.
