In 1975, Chorao illustrated &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Albert&amp;#039;s Toothache&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, by Barbara Williams. The book was critically successful, being given the [[American Library Association]]&amp;#039;s notable book citation and Children&amp;#039;s Book Showcase title.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;book&amp;quot;/&amp;gt; In 1979, her 1974 book &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ida Makes a Movie&amp;#039;&amp;#039; was adapted into a [[Ida Makes a Movie|short film by the same name]], which would become the genesis for the highly successful &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Degrassi (franchise)|Degrassi]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; teen drama franchise.
