The [[Bahrain|Kingdom of Bahrain]] is divided into four [[governorate]]s: the [[Capital Governorate, Bahrain|Capital]], [[Northern Governorate|Northern]], [[Southern Governorate|Southern]] and [[Muharraq Governorate|Muharraq]]. Each governorate is governed by a governor, appointed by the [[Prime Minister of Bahrain|prime minister]], and has its own municipality council, with separate elections for them. ==Constituencies==&lt;br /&gt;
Each governorate is divided into a varying number of [[constituency|constituencies]] for the election of the country&amp;#039;s [[Council of Representatives (Bahrain)|Council of Representatives]]. Elections are held in these constituencies every four years, with each constituency electing one member. Only Bahraini citizens are entitled to stand for and to vote at elections.&lt;br /&gt;
