==History==
In 1962, Gordil had a population of 264 people.<ref>{{cite book |last1=Ministry of Interior |first1=Ministry of Interior |title=Recensement général de la population de la République Centrafricaine: 3ème fasc. From 25-26 June 2006, a battle took place in Gordil between joint [[Central African Armed Forces|FACA]]-{{Ill|FOMUC|fr|Force multinationale en Centrafrique}} force and Chadian rebels of [[United Front for Democratic Change|FUC]] and MPRD which caused casualties.
