&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Globus Aerostaticus&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ([[Latin]] for &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[hot air balloon]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;) or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ballon Aerostatique&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (the [[French language|French]] equivalent) was a [[constellation]] created by [[Jérôme Lalande]] in 1798. It lay between the constellations [[Piscis Austrinus]], [[Capricornus]] and [[Microscopium]]. The constellation was created to honor the invention of the [[Montgolfier brothers]], who launched the first hot air balloon in the late eighteenth century.&amp;lt;ref name=barentine/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
