The &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Computing Machine Laboratory&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; at the [[Victoria University of Manchester|University of Manchester]] in the north of [[England]] was established by [[Max Newman]] shortly after the end of [[World War II]], around 1946.{{fact|date=March 2016}}&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
