&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Christopher David Steytler&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a former [[judge]] of the [[Supreme Court of Western Australia]] and [[Supreme Court of Western Australia#President of the Court of Appeal|President of the Court of Appeal]]. He was a member of the Supreme Court from 1994 to 2009 and was the Parliamentary Inspector of the [[Corruption and Crime Commission]] from 2009 to 2012.&lt;br /&gt;

Steytler was born in South Africa, doing his early years of schooling at [[St. George&amp;#039;s Grammar School (Cape Town)|St George&amp;#039;s Grammar School]] before graduating from the [[University of Cape Town]] and practising as a [[barrister]] and [[solicitor]] in South Africa prior to emigrating to [[Western Australia]] in 1976.{{r|transcript-farewell}} He joined the independent bar in 1990, and was appointed [[Queen&amp;#039;s Counsel]] in January 1993.{{r|qc-appointment}} He was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1994.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
