Nearby villages includes [[Kalliopi, Greece|Kalliopi]] to the north, Roussopouli to the southwest and [[Romano, Greece|Romano]] to the west. The area is 2.30&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>. The lagoon is dry during the summer months.<br />
