In 1925, Sato made her debut with the song &amp;quot;Aoi Susuki&amp;quot;. She met [[Shinpei Nakayama]], who composed her 1928 song &amp;quot;Habu no Minato&amp;quot;. It sold 100,000 copies. Her song {{nihongo|&amp;quot;Tokyo March&amp;quot;|東京行進曲|Tōkyō Kōshinkyoku}} was used as a [[tie-in]] song for the 1929 movie &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Tokyo March]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.
