The game has a new version of the King [[chess engine]].<ref name="allgame"/> The number of [[Artificial intelligence in video games|AI]] "personalities" has been increased to 200 and the game database has been increased by 50,000 matches.<ref name="IGN1"/> The AI doesn't support [[Resign (chess)|resigning]].<ref name="GSpot5"/> [[Josh Waitzkin]] and [[Larry Christiansen]] provide tutorial and game commentary.
