The '''1962 Appalachian State Mountaineers football team''' was an [[American football]] team that represented Appalachian State Teachers College (now known as [[Appalachian State University]]) as a member of the [[Conference Carolinas|Carolinas Conference]] during the [[1962 NAIA football season]]. In their third year under head coach [[Jim Duncan (defensive end)|Jim Duncan]], the Mountaineers compiled an overall record of 4–4–2, with a mark of 2–1–2 in conference play, and finished third in the Carolinas Conference.
