Yoon won a silver medal in the [[Judo at the 1992 Summer Olympics – Men's 60 kg|extra lightweight division]] ({{nbnd}}60&nbsp;kg), losing to [[Nazim Huseynov]] from [[Azerbaijan]] in the final in the [[Judo at the 1992 Summer Olympics|1992 Summer Olympics]]. Yoon also won two [[World Judo Championships|World Championships]] medals in [[1989 World Judo Championships|1989]] and [[1991 World Judo Championships|1991]].
