'''Ieuan Wyn Pritchard Roberts, Baron Roberts of Conwy''', [[Privy Council (United Kingdom)|PC]] (10 July 1930 – 13 December 2013) was a [[Wales|Welsh]] [[Conservative Party (UK)|Conservative]] [[politician]].

His father was a Minister in a chapel in [[Llansadwrn, Anglesey|Llansadwrn]], [[Anglesey]], and they lived in the schoolhouse.

He was [[Member of Parliament (United Kingdom)|Member of Parliament]] (MP) for the constituency of [[Conwy (UK Parliament constituency)|Conwy]] (formerly ''Conway'') from 1970 until his retirement in 1997.<ref name=serving>{{Cite news| first = David | last = Williamson | title = Long-serving Tory peer announces retirement |newspaper=[[Western Mail (Wales)|Western Mail]] | page = 7 | date = 28 June 2007 }}</ref> Although he never had a high majority, he maintained his seat for 27 years. Wyn Roberts served as [[Parliamentary Private Secretary]] to the [[Secretary of State for Wales]] [[Peter Thomas, Baron Thomas of Gwydir|Peter Thomas]] from 1970 to 1974, and was Opposition spokesman on Wales between 1974 and 1979. On the 1979 Conservative election victory, he was appointed [[Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State]] at the [[Welsh Office]]. Following the 1987 election, he was promoted to [[Minister of State]] at the [[Welsh Office]], a post he held until 1994.
