When ''Mathematical modelling of infectious disease'' was moved to [[Mathematical modelling of infectious diseases]], its [[Talk:Mathematical modelling of infectious diseases/Archive 1|talk archives]] did not move with it, and the header of the talk page no longer linked to the archives. I've now corrected this example. 

I would like to add a prompt to this how-to guide advising people to look for such archives and move them as necessary (this would seem to be appropriate next to the instructions about changing the auto-archiving settings). But I'm not very experienced with moving pages so first wanted to check whether such archives should have been automatically moved by some other mechanism, or whether the manual check that I'm discussing is already discussed somewhere I haven't found. How to move pages that are inaccessible due to [[Wikipedia:Naming conventions (technical restrictions)|technical reasons]], i.e. they have certain patterns or characters that have at some point made them inaccessible? For example, [https://en.wikipedia.org/?curid=62781854&redirect=no BBC: On This Day] and 
[https://en.wikipedia.org/?curid=73989074&redirect=no BBC: In Concert] can't be accessed nor moved because they now redirect to the [[:bbc:]] wiki. I guess they can be moved with [[Special:ApiSandbox]] but when I tried it in another wiki, it gave me an "invalid name" error message or something like that. Are there instructions anywhere how it's done? :This isn't the first time this has happened, see {{slink|Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 207|new fat: project conflicting with a couple English wiki article titles}}. It is possible to move it using the API, but you need page IDs, not titles, since the title will now be considered invalid for trying to obtain a page. == Mass editing backlinks of moved page ==

Hi,

Recently I moved [[List of highest points in California by county]] to [[List of California county high points]] and I would like to change the dozens of backlinks to this page to reflect the move.  In practice I suppose it doesn't matter because the backlinks target the redirect which ultimately lands on the correct page, but the majority of these backlinks are in the "See also" section in plain text and I would prefer they read the correct title.

Is there an easier way to fix all of these without manually changing everything listed on the "Pages that link here" page?  This would take hours for me to do manually and I'd definitely prefer a quicker solution.

==Curly apostrophe in Behzod Yoʻldoshev==
The title [[Behzod Yoʻldoshev]] includes a curly apostrophe (otherwise known as the Devil's work). I went to Move it to [[Behzod Yo'ldoshev]], but the system won't let me as it tells me the target name is the same as the source name. It seems to think that curly and straight apostrophes (and presumably quotes) are identical. Yet the straight version still shows up as a redlink. Huh? What manner of devilry is this? 

Can someone please move it, but also do whatever it takes to fix the system so that, at least in titles of articles, curly and straight quotes are differentiated? (It is called a [[Modifier letter turned comma]].) At least one of the cited sources includes the diacritic. It's good to have the resulting redirect, but using an apostrophe would not be correct in this case. The minor null edit in a page history made by a page move does not and never has appeared in watchlists, no matter the user's settings; before the [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2008-04-07/Technology report#New features|watchlist log functionality was added in April 2008]], page moves never appeared on a user's watchlist at all. == Question about moving a page to fix a conjunction/symbol ==

Hello!  I have a question regarding the page [[Fairmont Hotels and Resorts]].  The legal filings for this business, as well as their own branding(s), utilize an ampersand in lieu of "and."  Even the page itself uses the ampersand in almost all instances (I edited 3 or so of the instances that did not just recently for the sake of uniformity).  Should the title of the page be changed to reflect this, as well?  It seems like overkill to force users through a redirect, but I am unaware if there is some method of performing a simple page rename without necessitating a full move and redirect.
