Similar to Wikipedia's own [[WP:COTW|Collaboration of the week]] (now replaced by the [[WP:ACID|Article Creation and Improvement Drive]]), but on a smaller scale, you may want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing research, writing, and picture-taking (where possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things, but the idea is to find something that you can focus on for a while in an attempt to raise the number of quality articles produced by the Project.
