Welcome to the [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Catholicism|Catholicism WikiProject]]'s Collaboration Effort! This effort seeks to identify Catholic-related articles &mdash; including doctrines, saints and popes, dioceses, famous churches, and others &mdash; that require improvement. On a regular basis, a single article will be selected as the collaboration, and our generous volunteers will work to improve it as much as possible -- perhaps even to [[Wikipedia:Featured articles|featured article]] status. 

Any nominated article which receives five or more supporting votes within two weeks of nomination will be added to the end of the collaboration queue.  At the end of each two-week period, unless the collaboration queue is empty, the next article on the list will be selected.

We also take articles from the public domain [[Catholic Encyclopedia]] and [[Wikipedia:Catholic Encyclopedia topics|convert them]] to Wikipedia articles.  The voting works much the same way but articles remain in the special CCE [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Catholicism/Collaboration/holding tank|holding tank]] until they are ready to be published in Wikipedia.

We nominate and vote in a similar way to the [[Wikipedia:Article Improvement Drive|Article Improvement Drive]]. You may nominate any Catholic-related article and vote on as many as you please. A vote of support for an article shows your commitment to support and aid in collaborating on that specific article if it is chosen. Although you are not required to fulfill that commitment, we ask that you '''only support articles to which you are able to contribute'''. 

Any interested user is encouraged to vote so long as you abide by the policies of Wikipedia, specifically [[Wikipedia:Sockpuppets]].

# [[Divine Mercy]]  This is appropriate since Divine Mercy Sunday 2011 is two days away and also relevant because J.P. II's beatification is scheduled for this day.  This article is a start class and it would be a miracle if we could move it to Good by June.  It needs a section on history, recognized miracles attributed to the divine mercy, and the divine mercy Sunday page needs to be merged with [[Divine Mercy]].
