==Saab images==
Hi,

I like the images of Saab's you're uploading. I've a picture of the first Saab on the german wikipedia at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:DCP_1391.JPG , perhaps you can use it.
:Yes, that is a great picture of the Ursaab! But the name of the file 'DCP 1391.JPG' is not very clear.... I will use it in the Ursaab article (still to be written).

The drawings you upload, what is the source of those, did you draw them yourself? -- [[User:JeLuF|JeLuF]] 19:38, Jun 16, 2004 (UTC)
: click on a picture and read the info - they are line drawings by [[Gunnar A. Sjögren]] from his book ''The SAAB Way''. This book is entirely on line, follow the external link on the 'GAS' article. [[User:Sonett72|MH]] 19:50, 2004 Jun 16 (UTC)

Hi, I notice you've created a disambiguation page for the word Miraflores. Disambiguation pages should include links to each place's article page. Please add these links. == British spelling ==
Sonett, it is in poor taste to convert American spelling to British spelling without reason, such as changing from "neighbors" to "neighbours" in [[Parallel parking]]. I refer you to [[Wikipedia:Manual of style]]:
:If an article is predominantly written in one type of English, aim to conform to that type rather than provoking conflict by changing to another. (Sometimes, this can happen quite innocently, so please don't be too quick to make accusations!)
The article in question is written predominantly for those who drive on the right side of the road, which is explicitly not Britain. As the primary author of that article, I am not bothered by this, but someone else may find a problem with this behavior. --[[User:Cluster|Cluster]] 23:22, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

== List of second moments of area ==
I think the 'List of second moments of area' should be a separate article. I think it was a mistake to combine the two quantities (moment of inertia and second moment of inertia), as it confuses two very different physical quantities. The fact that their derivation is similar shouldn't distract us from that and combining them, in my opinion, is like combining articles on mass transfer and fluid mechanics because you can derive both sets of governing equations from Reynolds transport theorem.

Also, 'moment of inertia' and 'second moment of inertia' are two separate articles-- I created the second one--(I'm the person behind the IP address) and I edited the 'moment of inertia' article to tease the two issues apart (which I think makes sense). If 'moment of inertia' and 'second moment of inertia' are separate articles-- why combine the lists? -- I don't think it makes sense to combine the lists and this is why I made a separate article.

I think it is very awkward to have two different tables in the same article. Merging the two tables would be better-- but that cannot really be done for practical reasons.

If different things are combined-- I think 'area moments of inertia' should be combined with the centroid ---- and 'mass moments of inertia' with 'mass center' (this is how my statics textbook (Meriam JL, Kraige LG, Engineering mechanics, 3rd Ed., John wiley & Sons, Inc., 1993.) presents the quantities.

Also, if they are to remain merged the article should be renamed. "List of moments of inertia" suggests the quality associated with angular acceleration only-- and that is in fact how the article was created --OR-- the title is less clear than it could be. A more appropriate name would be 'List of moments of inertia and second moments of inertia.'

I think things should be kept as simple as possible. If the connection between moment of inertia and second moment of inertia is so important -- perhaps a separate article should be written (like one could be written about Reynolds transport theorem).

Thanks for pointing out the typo. You are right that the strain scale is wrong, it's more like a high-strength steel then structural steel. Hi Sonett72,

I am interested in an addition you made to the 'Hydropower' article on the 25th July 2005. In it you added to the 'Physics' sebsection.

I would like to know where you got your source material for this from since I am interested in quantifying the kinetic power of water where there is no significant change in elevation. I am therefore interested in the final equation added to this section in particular (for which I independently derived the same equation).

Also, do you know why has the symbol \phi</math> for discharge been replaced by \varphi</math> in later versions of the article?

'''This is an automated message from a [[Wikipedia:Bots|robot]]'''. You have recently uploaded '''[[:Image:Borgwarnerlogo.jpg]]'''. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the [[copyright]] status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{Tl|GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the [[GFDL]]. ==Request to move article [[:Monte Carlo]] incomplete==
[[Image:Nuvola apps important blue.svg|60px|left]]
You recently filed a request at [[WP:RM|Wikipedia:Requested moves]] to move the page [[:Monte Carlo]] to a different title - however your request is either '''incomplete''' or '''has been contested''' for being controversial, and has been moved to the [[WP:RM#Incomplete_and_contested_proposals|incomplete and contested proposals section]]. Requests that remain incomplete will be removed after five days.

Please make sure you have completed '''all three''' of the following:

# Added '''<nowiki>{{move|NewName}}</nowiki>''' at the top of the [[Talk:Monte Carlo|talk page of the page you want moved]], replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
# Added a place for discussion at the bottom of the [[Talk:Monte Carlo|talk page of the page you want to be moved]]. This can easily be accomplished by adding '''<nowiki>{{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}}</nowiki>''' to the bottom of the page, which will automatically create a discussion section there.
# Added '''<nowiki>{{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}}</nowiki>''' to the top of today's section [[WP:RM#Other_proposals|here]].

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at [[WT:RM|Wikipedia talk:Requested moves]] or contact me on my talk page. <!-- Template:RMinc --> - [[User:JPG-GR|JPG-GR]] ([[User talk:JPG-GR|talk]]) 17:32, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

==Proposed deletion of Robert J. Sinclair==
[[Image:Ambox warning yellow.svg|left|48px|]]
A [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion]] template has been added to the article [[Robert J. Sinclair]], suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process&#32; because of the following concern:
:<b>Although I do believe that this person's [[WP:BIO|notability]] could be established, this article would need a fundamental rewrite to make it not read like an [[WP:NOTMEMORIAL|obituary]].</b>

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's [[Wikipedia:Criteria for inclusion|criteria for inclusion]], and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "[[Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not|What Wikipedia is not]]" and [[Wikipedia:Deletion policy|Wikipedia's deletion policy]]). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the <code>{{tl|dated prod}}</code> notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on [[Talk:Robert J. Sinclair|its talk page]].

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the [[WP:PROD|proposed deletion process]], the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion criteria]] or it can be sent to [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|Articles for Deletion]], where it may be deleted if [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]] to delete is reached.<!-- Template:PRODWarning --> [[User:Mikaey|Matt]] ([[User talk:Mikaey|talk]]) 09:03, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

==File permission problem with File:Saabdraken.jpg==
[[File:Copyright-problem.svg|64px|left|alt=|link=]]
Thanks for uploading '''[[:File:Saabdraken.jpg]]'''. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
* make a note permitting reuse under the [[WP:CC-BY-SA|CC-BY-SA]] or another acceptable free license (see [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags/Free licenses|this list]]) '''at the site of the original publication'''; or
* Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to '''{{NoSpamEmail|permissions-en|wikimedia.org}}''', stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter [[WP:CONSENT|here]]. If you take this step, add {{tl|OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to '''{{NoSpamEmail|permissions-en|wikimedia.org}}'''.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at [[Wikipedia:Non-free content]], use a tag such as {{tlp|non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use]], and add a [[Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline|rationale]] justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags]] for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in [{{fullurl:Special:Log|type=upload&user=Sonett72}} your upload log]. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#Images.2FMedia|criteria for speedy deletion]]. If the file is already gone, you can still make a [[Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion|request for undeletion]] and ask for a chance to fix the problem.<!-- Template:You can request undeletion --> If you have any questions, please ask them at the [[Wikipedia:media copyright questions|Media copyright questions page]]. == Files missing description details ==

<div style="padding:5px; background-color:#E1F1DE;">'''Dear uploader:''' The media files you uploaded as:
*[[:File:Stackedjunction.jpeg]]
*[[:File:Sandozlogo.jpg]]
are missing a description and/or other details on their image description pages. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the images, and they will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the images may eventually be proposed for [[Wikipedia:Guide to image deletion|deletion]],
a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

==File permission problem with File:Trumpetjunction.jpeg==
[[File:Copyright-problem.svg|64px|left|alt=|link=]]
Thanks for uploading '''[[:File:Trumpetjunction.jpeg]]'''. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
* make a note permitting reuse under the [[WP:CC-BY-SA|CC-BY-SA]] or another acceptable free license (see [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags/Free licenses|this list]]) '''at the site of the original publication'''; or
* Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to '''permissions-en@wikimedia.org''', stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter [[WP:CONSENT|here]]. If you take this step, add {{tl|OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to '''permissions-en@wikimedia.org'''.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at [[Wikipedia:Non-free content]], use a tag such as {{tl|non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use]], and add a [[Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline|rationale]] justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included.

'''Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged''', as described on [[wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#Files|criteria for speedy deletion]]. You may wish to read Wikipedia's [[Wikipedia:image use policy|image use policy]]. If you have any questions please ask them at the [[Wikipedia:Media copyright questions|Media copyright questions page]]. == [[WP:ACE2015|ArbCom elections are now open!]] ==

Hi,<br>
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current [[WP:ACE2015|Arbitration Committee election]]. The [[WP:ARBCOM|Arbitration Committee]] is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia [[WP:RFAR|arbitration process]]. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose [[WP:BAN|site bans]], [[WP:TBAN|topic bans]], editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The [[WP:ARBPOL|arbitration policy]] describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to [[WP:ACE2015/C|review the candidates' statements]] and submit your choices on [[Special:SecurePoll/vote/398|the voting page]]. ==[[:File:Bobsinclair-sandiego07-saab9-5.jpg]]==
You uploaded, [[:File:Bobsinclair-sandiego07-saab9-5.jpg]], where you either stated that you had permission to upload it or that evidence of such permission would be provided on request. Wikipedia needs the permission to be explicit and proven at the time of upload.

Please read [[Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission]], which advises on how to confirm the permission you obtained from a third party.

It is also advisable to ask the third-party what source attribution they desire, as opposed to marking the image as having been "sent personally".[[User:Sfan00 IMG|Sfan00 IMG]] ([[User talk:Sfan00 IMG|talk]]) 20:39, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
==  [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|Proposed deletion]] of [[:File:Staticallyindeterminate.jpg]] ==
[[File:Ambox warning yellow.svg|left|link=|alt=Notice|48px|]]

The file [[:File:Staticallyindeterminate.jpg]] has been [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed for deletion]]&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>unused, low-res, no obvious use</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be [[WP:DEL#REASON|deleted for any of several reasons]].

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your [[Help:edit summary|edit summary]] or on [[File talk:Staticallyindeterminate.jpg|the file's talk page]].

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion process]], but other [[Wikipedia:deletion process|deletion process]]es exist. In particular, the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion]] process can result in deletion without discussion, and [[Wikipedia:Files for discussion|files for discussion]] allows discussion to reach [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]] for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify -->

<span style="color:red;font-weight:bold;">This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the [[Help:Page history|page history]] of each individual file for details.</span> Thanks, [[User:FastilyBot|FastilyBot]] ([[User talk:FastilyBot|talk]]) 01:01, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
