User script listings cleanup project
I'm leaving this message for all recent contributors to Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts/Scripts.

This scripts listing page is in dire need of cleanup. To facilitate this, I've created a new draft listing at Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts/Scripts cleanup. You're invited to list scripts you know to be currently working and relevant. Eventually this draft page can replace the current scripts listing.

If you'd like to comment or collaborate on this proposal, see the discussion I started here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject User scripts#Scripts listing cleanup project. Thanks! <span style="font-family:Century Gothic;"><span style="color:#000080">Equazcion</span> <small>(<span style="color:#007BA7">talk</span>)</small> 00:19, 25 Mar 2012 (UTC)</span>

User script list deprecation
Wikipedia's list of user scripts is in bad shape, in that it is disorganized and contains many non-working, unmaintained, or thoroughly obsolete entries. Cleanup has been on the to-do list since 2007, but little progress has been made. Instead, the whole list is now set to be deprecated on 1 May 2012, to be replaced with a new list. This draft list has been up for about a month, and in that time I've been soliciting script users and authors to come add scripts they know to be working and relevant.

If you know of scripts that you would like to survive this deprecation (and are confirmed working and relevant), you're welcome to add them to the new list. Note that the old list will be retained and linked from the main list, so there is no real deadline. Thanks for your help. == TWA substitutions ==

Hey Matt! The javascript API calls substitute messages like WP:TWA/Welcome. I'm trying to get the {current date} and {basepagename} (username) to appear in the messages. I've been using 'noinclude' tags, but these aren't working. Someone suggested this change, curious what you think:

A tag has been placed on :Draft:Sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. The article :Gilbert Hyatt has been proposed for deletion&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>This page basically does not exist in any meaningful form, either by information or source material, and an automatic redirect to the microprocessor page subsection would be better. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the proposed deletion/dated notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing proposed deletion/dated will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. A tag has been placed on :Draft:Sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.ttelangana.com/gudem-satyanarayana-swamy-temple-in-telangana/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> 🇺🇦&nbsp;<span style="color:#800">Fiddle</span><small>Timtrent</small>&nbsp;<span style="color:#070">Faddle</span><small>Talk&nbsp;to&nbsp;me</small>&nbsp;🇺🇦 14:06, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

Periodic Bug in ProveIt
Hello, I'm a fan user of ProveIt. Thanks to maintain it. I come here to say that there is a bug : in the article option, the periodic is no longer mentioned; instead, it is indicated "CrossRef". Is it possible to fix it ? Thanks in advance. (If you are no longer working on this project, can you give me a name I can ask?) A tag has been placed on :Draft:Sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the . <!-- Template:Db-spam-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Syn73 (talk) 16:08, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
