I disagree about the claim that boys be stereotypically perceived to be interested in sex at younger age than girls. On the contrary: girls mature earlier than boys both physically and emotionally. I came across this page after typing the word Shota and clicking go and was redirected to the Shotacon page. The problem being that I was hoping to get this page: [[Shota_%28Sword_of_Truth%29|Shota (Sword of Truth)]] Just wondering what exactly should be done? Disambiguation page? Edited the first paragraph a bit, concerning the sexual nature of shotacon. I have seen so many Japanese sites using this term without any relation to sexual content whatsoever, I simply do not believe that kind of content is necessary for something to be "shota". == Updated some things ==

I thought that the flow of the article was all over the place, and that the anime descriptions were blatantly discursive. I tightened the article a bit, though I admit some data I removed (Bridget from Guilty Gear) should be reinserted in a more meaningful context. Please don't restore that "Shotacon as a Meme" section without at least fixing it. Also, we are in dire need of references. I put in an internet survey I ran across recently, as it is the best verification I could find for a claim I added, but I hope someone can find something better. == Should this page have these categories? ==

IP {{ping|51.223.107.11}} keeps removing these categories, so am trying to gather consensus. Is there favour for which categories should be on the page, and which shouldn't? IP, please explain why exactly you consider these categories inappropriate for the page. IMO, Lolicon should definitely stay as Shotacon is a derivative of it. Not sure about the other two, will need to think.

:Whether lolicon and shotacon are pedophilic in nature or not is extremely heavily debated and really falls upon personal opinion. To keep the article unbiased, I'm of the stance that the categories should be removed, though I think lolicon can stay.
