The '''Springfield [[Presbyterian]] Church''' is located on Morris Avenue ([[New Jersey Route 82|Route 82]]) in downtown [[Springfield Township, Union County, New Jersey|Springfield]], in [[Union County, New Jersey]], United States. The congregation was first established in 1745 and the current church was built in 1791.<ref name="nrhpdoc"/>

The church had been used to store [[ammunition]] for the [[Continental Army]] during the [[American Revolutionary War|Revolutionary War]] and at the [[Battle of Springfield (1780)|Battle of Springfield]] the church was burned by [[British Army|British]] and [[Loyalist (American Revolution)|Loyalist]] troops passing through the township on their way to nearby [[Hobart Gap]].
